Landlord safety certificate
It is important to ensure that all electrical appliances and fittings within the property are safe and in good working order. Unlike gas regulations, there is no law that says you must have a landlord electrical certificate. But should any electrical fitting or appliances within your rental property cause harm to a tenant you could be held liable.
What is an electrical inspection condition report (EICR)?
An inspection of the condition of an electrical installation to identify any problems that do meet the national safety standard for electrical installations. Our fully qualified electrician will check the following:
- earthing
- polarity
- Insulation
- testing of residual current devices (RCD)
We will produce the EICR to highlight areas of compliance and non-compliance and we’ll be on hand to advise on any remedial work.
